I am a Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Financial Planner with full membership of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners. This combination of skills really helps me to understand my client’s circumstances from a variety of different angles to ensure the advice is comprehensive. With over 20 years of employment in tax and financial planning, I also have a wealth of experience on which to draw.

I have a keen interest in all Private Client matters, with deep specialisms in inheritance tax, succession planning, will drafting and trust matters, and I particularly enjoy getting to the heart of technical problems. I believe in creating bespoke solutions for each client, whether it be in the lifetime or following their death and this often involves ‘thinking outside the box’.  I also pride myself in being able to explain very complex situations in ‘plain English’.

The success of the Private Client team at Shorts is borne out of a strong team ethic, which combines professionals from a wide range of different disciplines. I embrace this collective environment, and I believe it brings out the best in me and the work I do.
