I started my career in accountancy straight from 6th form. I joined a medium accountancy firm that specialised within the hospitality sector. I worked there for just under 6 years and during my time completed my level 3 and 4 AAT qualifications and made a start on my ACCA qualification. I enjoyed the professional relationships made with clients through completing monthly management accounts and year end accounts. I also learned a lot about the hospitality industry itself during that time.

Further along my studies, I decided I wanted to expand my variety of work to work with a wider range of clients. I joined Shorts within the Genus team in the Summer of 2025.

Within Shorts I am responsible for my own portfolio of clients across various industry's, producing monthly and quarterly management accounts alongside VAT returns. I enjoy producing meaningful information that allow clients to drill down into the figures with our help. I work with a range of accounting software such as Xero, Sage and Netsuite.
