I am an indirect tax specialist with over 40 years’ experience in VAT.

I started my career working for HMRC primarily as a VAT inspector and initially dealing with small and medium enterprises but latterly with large national businesses.

I moved into the private sector after 27 years with HMRC to work for a large independent regional accountancy firm before moving to a company specialising in providing VAT advice and VAT compliance services to the healthcare sector.

My area of expertise is land and property transactions but I have extensive knowledge of both domestic and international VAT and I love complex VAT queries. I have an Honours degree in Business Studies and a VAT legal and technical qualification from the Institute of Indirect Taxation.
