I joined Shorts in 2019 having obtained a First Class Law Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree in Legal Practice with Commendation (which was completed within the first few months of starting my journey at Shorts). I am also a fully qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, having studied Advanced Certificates in the preparation of Wills, administration of Trusts and Estates, and the Taxation of the same.

I am involved in all areas of Private Client, dealing with matters both during lifetime, and those arising following a death.  My primary focus is on the preparation and drafting of legal documentation such as Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorneys and all associated documentation, however, I am also heavily involved in the administration of estates.

I pride myself in being able to provide answers to Private Client queries that involve aspects of different areas, such as Mental Health law, Family law, Property law and Company law. My strong (and very varied) legal education allows me to tailor legal documentation according to each individual client, and their particular circumstances.

My personal journey at Shorts

I joined Shorts three days after finishing my postgraduate exams in Leeds. In my first full-time job, I was welcomed into a healthy and supportive environment which was the exact opposite of what my legal education had led me to believe.

I was welcomed into a Company (and more specifically a Team) that respects its employees’ well-being and goes over and above to nurture individual growth; both professionally and personally. From day one, I was given specialist training full of knowledge, expertise and experience and have always felt like a valued member of the Team.

Since joining Shorts in 2019, I have progressed from Adviser to Manager whilst being surrounded by support and encouragement from my Private Client family and wider colleagues.
