Professional Expertise
- Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales
- Over 30 years experience in the profession
- 9 years with a big 4 firm, 15 years with mid-tier firms, 10 years with Shorts
- Audit quality, technical and training lead
- Member of the National Technical Advisory Committee at the ICAEW
I joined in 2015 Shorts with over 25 years of experience in the profession. This included working for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Grant Thornton in Sheffield and having worked abroad in Australia for two years post qualification.
In Autumn 2025 I transitioned into a new role created by the firm, being the Senior Audit Quality, Technical and Training Lead.
I am overseeing all aspects related to Audit Quality, as well as shaping the firm’s training strategy and coordinating all technical matters relating to the Corporate Team.
This new role enables me to draw on my ICAEW contacts, as well as those around the Praxity Alliance, both within the UK and globally.
As Shorts has grown in size, this area has become of increased focus and now requires full time focus, in particular to ensure that we maintain our continued excellence in audit quality.
