Joining Shorts in 2018 during my university placement year marked the beginning of a rewarding journey of growth and development.
After completing my BSc in Accounting and Finance at Sheffield Hallam University, I returned to Shorts full-time, joining the Audit & Accounts department.
Over the years, I’ve trained extensively and gained a wealth of experience across both accounts and audit functions – and during my first five years in audit, I honed my technical expertise, deepened my understanding of financial reporting, and successfully achieved my ACA qualification. This period was instrumental in shaping my professional foundation, allowing me to work on a diverse portfolio of clients and complex audit engagements.
More recently, I transitioned back to the Genus team, where I continue to build on my strengths in client-facing work. I hold certifications in cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, which enables me to deliver efficient, tech-enabled solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
I take pride in working closely with my portfolio of clients on a monthly basis, delivering high-quality management accounts that empower informed decision-making. My approach is proactive, collaborative, and focused on adding real value—whether through insightful reporting, process improvements, or strategic financial guidance.
