I joined Shorts as an Audit and Accounts Senior Manager after 10 years working as a Senior Audit Manager for Buzzacott in London, a top 25 firm which I joined as a graduate trainee shortly after completing my law degree at the University of Hull.
During my time working in London, I completed a five months secondment to the corporate assurance team of a firm in Sydney, working with listed companies and interpreting Australian Accounting Standards.
I have extensive experience working with businesses of all sizes, from owner managed businesses through to multi-national groups, including some with household names.
Whilst most see audit as a standard process, I aim to make it as pain free as possible for the clients I work with. I enjoy building relationships with my clients, discovering how their businesses operate and very often I will act as a sounding board for issues that arise, or advise on accounting (and non-accounting) queries throughout the year.
