I began my career in accountancy at 17, shortly after completing my A Levels. I initially worked at a firm in the East Midlands, where I gained hands-on experience while completing my ATT qualification, and later qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2021. During this time, I developed a broad knowledge base by managing a diverse client portfolio, enabling me to advise on a wide range of tax matters.
In 2024, I joined Shorts as a Tax Manager within our Owner Managed Businesses team, seeking a new challenge and the opportunity to apply my skills more strategically. My role focuses on helping clients navigate complex tax matters and identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency.
What I particularly enjoy about my role is the ability to add real value. Whether that’s through strategic tax planning, reduce tax liabilities, or simply giving our clients peace of mind that their affairs are being handled with care. I take pride in ensuring our clients are making the most of the opportunities available to them.
