Following a 2-year career break to go travelling around the world, I moved to Sheffield and joined Shorts.

I had previously worked in the Midlands for independent accounts practices where my roles mainly involved the preparation of statutory accounts and leading small auditing teams. I also gained valuable experience regularly auditing, in conjunction with PWC, a large privately-owned company.

Since joining Shorts I worked my way to Projects Executive where my main roles involved the preparation of management accounts, software implementation and forecasting. My ability to work as part of a team tackling difficult and contentious matters as well as applying relevant technical knowledge transferred well to my current role as Corporate Finance Executive.

My role now involves a variety of corporate finance activities including disposals, acquisitions, MBO/MBI’s, due diligence, valuations, business plans and forecasting.
