Motus Traffic Limited
Really impressed with the Shorts deal team.Jim Booth, Managing Director

Client Review

Shorts were first recommended to us by our bank manager, who was concerned we weren’t getting quality advice from our existing advisers. Over the following years Andy Irvine has developed a thorough understanding of our business and has provided candid strategic advice as we have grown. I value the insights and counsel Andy has been able to provide and see Shorts very much as our trusted advisers.

We recently acquired the Traffic Systems Co-operative and I am certain the transaction would not have been successful without Shorts assistance.  Andy Irvine  introduced us to his deal team, with Andy Ryder acting as lead adviser on the deal and tax advice being provided by Andrew Grant. To be honest it was complicated having so many Andys to talk to! But that aside we were really impressed with the Shorts’ deal team: Andy Ryder was readily accessible throughout the project, managing the transaction and co-ordinating the lawyers and lenders. His knowledge of the funding market enabled us to secure an enhanced and more appropriate funding package to fund both the acquisition and to support our future growth plans.

The nature of the transaction brought about some complex tax issues, which the Shorts’ tax team dealt with swiftly, professionally and without any added drama. Post transaction we have found it to be of real benefit that both  Andys (Irvine and Ryder) have remained closely involved with Motus, ensuring a continuity of advice and support.
