Vivid has been working with Shorts since 2006 when Shorts took over our bookkeeping function; providing us with accurate monthly management accounts.  Since then we’ve grown as a business, as have Shorts.  Their service offering has extended and I’ve seen them become the cutting edge firm that it is today.

Shorts are very adept at seeing how a business is running and positively contributing with advice, not only in terms of structure but also how to make the business more successful for the future.   An example would be their Genus service which identified that my business was probably running at 50% efficiency and it was pointed out that we were using an out-dated and inefficient system.  Malcolm and the Genus team steered us down a path of using a bespoke system for agencies and a custom reporting platform that has since allowed us to review weaknesses in the business and highlight areas for improvement, leading to a drive of improvements and efficiencies.

They have made a real difference; given me new confidence and up-skilled me in business management. I don’t really see them as my accountancy firm, I see them more as my colleagues and friends, not just my accountants anymore.  The relationship is way deeper than that.

COVID-19In line with the most recent Government announcements, both of our offices are now open. We have conducted a thorough review of procedures and implemented several changes to ensure a ‘Covid-19 safe’ working environment. Our phased transition will see members of our team returning to the office on a rotational basis within their teams and allowing a limited number of essential client meetings.
